Talk at the Hingham Library, Thursday June 17

Hingham Public Library kicks off its summer author series with a special program on Thursday, June 17, at 7 p.m. as four of Greater Boston’s best up-and-coming mystery authors will talk about their latest books and about the art of writing crime fiction.

With the death of Robert B. Parker earlier this year, Boston lost one of its finest writers as well as its signature private eye. Parker and Spenser are irreplaceable, but a new crop of criminal minds stand ready to make their mark on the city. Among the authors who, following in Parker’s footsteps, make the best use of Boston as a backdrop are Raffi Yessayan, Margaret McLean, Dave Zeltserman, and Paul Tremblay.

And Celtics fans, the gig starts at 7 and will be over well before tip-off of game 7. Really, Kendric Perkins would want you to go!
